German cruise line Hapag-Lloyd Cruises is offering five new luxury and expedition ship itineraries for the 2027-28 season, including a first-ever winter season in the Indian Ocean, a cruise combining all five Great Lakes with the St. Lawrence River and more.
The EUROPA and EUROPA 2, the line’s luxury ships, will be offering several new itineraries in the next two years.
The EUROPA will sail a 29-day itinerary from Valparaiso to San Francisco, visiting eight countries across South, Central and North America. In 2028, the ship will also sail two consecutive cruises of the Philippines, a first for the cruise line, featuring 13 calls at 10 different ports.
Meanwhile, the EUROPA 2 will sail two new itineraries: one exploring Costa Rica’s Pacific coastline and another visiting Papua New Guinea and Palau in the South Pacific.
The line’s three expedition ships, HANSEATIC nature, HANSEATIC inspiration and HANSEATIC spirit will offer a selection of new itineraries, too.
HANSEATIC nature will spend its 2027-28 winter season in the Indian Ocean, visiting destinations like Madagascar, the Seychelles and Mauritius.
In the summer of 2027, the HANSEATIC inspiration will be the only cruise ship to sail all five of the Great Lakes as well as the St. Lawrence River altogether.
The HANSEATIC spirit ship will sail to Western Australia’s Kimberley region in a new itinerary.
