Celestyal is expanding beyond its traditional Eastern Mediterranean focus with the launch of its first dedicated Western Mediterranean season, introducing new itineraries that will sail through Spain, Portugal and Morocco beginning this winter.
The new program will see the 1,360-guest Celestyal Discovery operate the 14-night "Mediterranean Odyssey: Spain, Portugal & Morocco" itinerary, marking the cruise line's first dedicated deployment in the Western Mediterranean. The season also includes 14 maiden port calls for the line.
The itinerary features overnight stays in Barcelona (Tarragona) and Lisbon, extended time in several ports and visits to destinations including Malaga, Gibraltar, Casablanca, Cadiz, Tangier, Valencia, Palma de Mallorca and Sète, France. Fares start at $1,239.
Travel advisors can also offer the itinerary as two separate seven-night sailings between Barcelona (Tarragona) and Lisbon, with prices starting at $749.
To connect the Eastern and Western Mediterranean programs, Celestyal is introducing two eight-night "Mediterranean Riviera" repositioning cruises between Athens and Barcelona (Tarragona). The voyages will call at Kusadasi, Turkey; Messina, Sicily; Naples; Civitavecchia; Nice; and Barcelona (Tarragona), with an overnight stay before returning in reverse. Fares start at $809.
Guests will also have the option of combining itineraries into longer voyages, including a 22-night sailing pairing the repositioning cruise with the new Mediterranean Odyssey itinerary or a 26-night itinerary that also includes the line's four-night "Iconic Greek Islands" cruise.
All fares include meals, soft drinks, WiFi, port fees and gratuities.
"For more than a decade, we've become known for delivering authentic and immersive experiences across the Greek Islands and Eastern Mediterranean. The time is now right for us to expand west and bring that same philosophy to a new collection of destinations," said Lee Haslett, Chief Commercial Officer at Celestyal.
"Rather than simply visiting the headline ports, we've carefully designed these itineraries to showcase the true character of the Western Mediterranean. Alongside the overnight stays in Barcelona and Lisbon we've included hidden gems such as Sète and extended time ashore, allowing guests to connect even more with the destinations they visit.
"Whether guests choose a seven-night voyage between Barcelona and Lisbon, or our flagship 14-night Mediterranean Odyssey, they'll experience the authentic Western Mediterranean through the eyes of a cruise line that has always placed destinations at the heart of the journey."
For the 2026-27 winter season, Celestyal Discovery will reposition from Athens to Barcelona on Nov. 28, 2026 before operating two Mediterranean Odyssey sailings. The ship will return to the Eastern Mediterranean on Jan. 2, 2027.
The Western Mediterranean program will expand during the 2027-28 winter season, when the ship will operate six Mediterranean Odyssey voyages between November 2027 and February 2028.
Sailings for both seasons opened for booking on July 1.
Travel advisors can also offer clients the line's "Suite Summer Sale," available on bookings made by Aug. 31, 2026. The promotion includes special rates and added perks on Junior Dream Suites and Grand Suites.
"These new itineraries truly showcase our deep Mediterranean expertise and heritage," said John Diorio, Vice President and Managing Director of Business Development for North America. "We're giving advisors a unique opportunity to offer their clients exceptional winter sailings at a better price point than other lines in the region."
The announcement follows Celestyal's recent decision to extend its Eastern Mediterranean season after cancelling its planned Arabian Gulf deployment for winter 2026-27. The company said details of Celestyal Journey's winter 2027-28 program will be announced at a later date.
