Carnival Cruise Line is enhancing its fleet with foodies in mind, announcing The Next Course featuring a robust lineup of culinary experiences, including restaurants and bars launching on Carnival Festivale next year and Carnival Tropicale in 2028.

The initiative will also see new innovative dining experiences rolled out across the cruise giant's fleet.

New specialty bars and restaurants will include Emeril’s Coastal Seafood serving coastal-inspired cuisine from celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse, Uku Lei Lei, offering Hawaiian specialties and Asian classics, as well as Fetaccine, a Mediterranean-inspired eatery combining Italian favorites and Greek specialties.

Le Bistro Musicale will serve classic French cuisine in a relaxed, music-filled Parisian setting, available exclusively to guests sailing aboard Carnival Festivale.

Three unique bar outlets coming to Carnival Festivale include The Spark, an inviting lounge featuring live performances and cocktails inspired by iconic songs. There's also Mix, which Carnival describes as "a playful bar where guests can order creative cocktails or craft their own drinks, layering unique flavors."

Finally, Festival Grounds Coffee & Bar will provide specialty coffees and cocktails.

The cruise line is also promising a handful of fleetwide culinary enhancements, including express dining, refreshed menus in the Main Dining Room, Lido Marketplace and BlueIguana Cantina, expanded grab-and-go options and mobile ordering and pop-ups like Fruity & Frosted Breakfast Bars and Ice Cream and Milkshake Bars.

Guests can also look forward to Bagels @ Sea and a Chef’s Table menu revamp featuring elevated multi-course dinners with regionally inspired flavors.

"Our approach to dining combined with our team’s amazing service is a driving force behind Carnival’s success," Carnival Cruise Line President Christine Duffy said in a statement. "Our latest culinary adventure marks a bold step forward to give guests an unforgettable experience with a variety of new vibrant flavors fleetwide."

The news comes days after Carnival introduced a new casino gaming system across its fleet.
