The Best Time to Visit Alaska: A Season-By-Season Guide
Rocky Mountaineer has announced a new route for travel in June and July 2026.
The Passage to the Peaks itinerary offers a daylight-only journey through the Canadian Rockies, with stops in Jasper, Kamloops, Lake Louise, and Banff.
Unlike the company’s existing itineraries that connect to the West Coast, this new offering remains entirely within the Rockies. The route focuses on alpine landscapes, including dense evergreen forests, glacial lakes, and mountain peaks.
Passengers will travel in Rocky Mountaineer’s signature glass-domed coaches (GoldLeaf service), offering panoramic views of the scenery. Gourmet meals crafted by onboard chefs using locally sourced ingredients will be served during the journey.
“Passage to the Peaks” packages range from two to ten days in length.
Full package details are available on the Rocky Mountaineer website
