United Offering Travel Waiver for Canadian Travel

United Airlines, anticipating travel impacts due to the labour action at Air Canada, is offering flexible rebooking for passengers with tickets in Canada. On its website, United states that ticketholders with flights booked through one of the nine Canadian airports United flies to are able to reschedule their trip at no charge. 

It states that flights booked on or before Aug. 12 for travel on Aug 15, 16, 17 or 18 can be rebooked for travel on United from Aug. 12-27, 2025. The new flights must be in the same cabin and fly between the same destinations. The changes won’t incur any change fees or fare difference charges. 

Eligible tickets are those booked on United flying to or from:

• Edmonton, AB, CA (YEG)
• Halifax, NS, CA (YHZ)
• Ottawa, ON, CA (YOW)
• Québec City, QC, CA (YQB)
• Montreal, QC, CA (YUL)
• Vancouver, BC, CA (YVR)
• Winnipeg, MB, CA (YWG)
• Calgary, AB, CA (YYC)
• Toronto, ON, CA (YYZ)
