Sunwing Cancels Southbound Flights from Pearson

An announcement on Sunwing.ca states that the company has made the decision to cancel all southbound flights departing Toronto Pearson International (YYZ) for Feb. 19 and 20, 2025. The decision was made in order to  “prioritize the safe return of customers currently delayed in destinations due to recent weather disruptions, crew availability constraints and extremely limited hotel capacity,” according to the release.

Sunwing passengers will be issued full refunds to their original method of purchase for the cancelled flights within the next 21 days. 

Sunwing states:

“We understand this decision impacts our customers' vacation plans and sincerely apologize for the disruption. Our team continues to work diligently to minimize further impact on our operations and support affected passengers.”
