Porter Airlines is ramping up its summer 2025 schedule, expanding domestic and transborder capacity with new routes, increased flight frequencies, and continued winter services.

The airline's domestic network will now make up 80% of its summer capacity, up from 75% in the original plan, while its U.S. presence remains strong with a 25% year-over-year increase.

Porter said the expansion is fueled by 10 additional Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, bringing Porter’s total jet fleet to 44, alongside 29 De Havilland Dash 8-400s.

“Our goal is to fly where our customers want to travel, and this is a moment Canada is at the top of many people’s list,” Kevin Jackson, president of Porter Airlines, said in a statement.

“We are adding routes and increasing flights in regions across the country to meet this demand.”

Key Highlights:

  • New Routes: Toronto Pearson-Moncton joins Porter’s network, complementing existing flights from Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and Ottawa.
  • Expanded Service: Hamilton-Vancouver flights double to 14 weekly frequencies, while Toronto-St. John’s and Montréal-Vancouver routes also see a frequency boost to 14 weekly flights.
  • Transborder Growth: New Toronto Pearson-New York LaGuardia and Montréal-Newark flights launch this spring, along with extended summer services to Phoenix and San Diego and increased flights to Las Vegas and San Francisco.

Jackson noted that despite some targeted reductions in select U.S. markets, Porter’s U.S. travel demand remains strong, with spring bookings exceeding capacity growth.

Porter is launching new service between Toronto Pearson - New York-LaGuardia and Montreal - New York-Newark this spring. This is supported by expanding winter seasonal service through the summer to destinations such as Phoenix and San Diego, and increasing year-over-year capacity for Las Vegas and San Francisco.

“Porter has increased capacity in the U.S. by 25% year-over-year. Based on our current spring bookings, the number of passengers travelling on Porter across our transborder routes is up more than our capacity, demonstrating strong traveller demand for Porter’s elevated experience. As we shift some capacity to domestic routes in the near term to account for consumer travel interest, we are still seeing an overall increase in U.S. travel on Porter flights,” said Jackson.
