The move brings Etihad’s four-class “superjumbo” to Canadian skies for the first time, ahead of the airline’s 20th anniversary of operations to Canada.
The aircraft features 486 seats, including luxury options like The Residence, a three-room suite with a private living room, bedroom, and ensuite bathroom with shower.
Etihad also offers First Apartments, enclosed suites with lie-flat beds and ottomans; Business Studios with premium dining and aisle access; and 405 Economy Smart Seats, 68 of which offer extra legroom.

“We are proud to introduce the A380 and offer guests flying between Abu Dhabi and Canada an extraordinary new travel experience with Etihad,” said Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer at Etihad Airways.
“Toronto has been a cornerstone of our North American network since 2005, when we became the first airline from the Gulf region to operate flights to Canada. The introduction of our flagship aircraft on this route reflects our deep commitment to the Canadian market.”
Etihad said the increased capacity will support high demand across business, leisure, and visiting friends and relatives (VFR) segments.
Travellers connecting through Abu Dhabi can also access the airline’s stopover program, which includes complimentary hotel stays and opportunities to explore the city’s cultural and recreational attractions.
The upgraded daily service operates between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi (AUH).
