Boeing marked a record month of deliveries in September 2026, as the planemaker continues to accelerate production of its 737 Max jets.
The airframer delivered a total of 57 planes in September, marking its highest number of monthly deliveries so far in 2026, according to Reuters.
September’s delivery numbers were up by several planes compared to August, when the company delivered 51 jets.
The company’s increase in deliveries comes as Boeing aims to increase production of its 737 Max jets to 47 planes per month. Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg noted at an industry conference last month that meeting the benchmark has taken longer than expected.
Orders for Max jets keep rolling in, with Turkish Airlines ordering 100 of the single-aisle jets in September. German carrier Lufthansa has also inked an order for 20 Max jets as well. The narrowbody aircraft is Boeing’s bestselling jet ever.
For the third quarter of 2026, Boeing delivered a total of 161 planes and has so far delivered 475 jets from the beginning of the year through September.
