Air Transat announced the launch of non-stop flights between Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) and Georgetown, Guyana (GEO) this winter.The seasonal service will run twice a week—on Tuesdays and Fridays—from December 16, 2025, through April 24, 2026."With this new route, we are expanding our presence in South America while optimizing the use of our aircraft," said Sebastian Ponce, Transat's Chief Revenue Officer.
"This addition meets a strong demand from the Guyanese diaspora in Canada, while also tapping into a growing market and a leisure clientele curious to discover new destinations."Flights will be operated using the Airbus A321LR, configured with ergonomic seating, an advanced inflight entertainment system, and Club Class for travellers seeking a more premium experience.
According to press release from the airline, the route was developed in coordination with Guyanese and Canadian authorities and remains subject to regulatory approval. Tickets will be available for purchase in the coming days.Air Transat's full winter 2025-26 schedule is expected to be announced soon.
