Air Transat Adds Flights from Ottawa, Quebec City, Montreal, & Toronto

Air Transat announced the expansion of its summer 2026 schedule with new transatlantic routes and the annualization of southern connections.

"Our summer 2026 is already shaping up to be exceptional," said Sebastian Ponce, chief revenue officer at Transat. 

"We're accelerating our growth in Quebec City, launching our first transatlantic route from Ottawa, and expanding our international connections. This is just the beginning of a season full of exciting new developments."

New Routes from Quebec City

From May 21 to October 8, 2026, the airline will operate weekly non-stop flights between Quebec City and Marseille on Thursdays, alongside its existing Quebec City–Paris route. 

A new Quebec City–Fort-de-France service, launching December 14, 2025, will also be extended through the summer with a weekly Monday flight, offering year-round access to Martinique.

New Routes from Ottawa

For the first time, the airline will operate non-stop transatlantic flights from Ottawa to London Gatwick starting May 15, 2026. 

Service will run three times a week on Fridays, Sundays, and Tuesdays. 

A new Ottawa–Montreal (YUL) route will operate from May 5 to October 23, 2026.

The development is supported by Air Transat’s partnership with Porter Airlines, which is consolidating Ottawa as a hub in eastern Canada. Together, the airlines aim to improve international access while providing travellers with smoother connections.

Year-Round Southern Routes from Montreal and Toronto

Beginning summer 2026, several seasonal routes will become year-round:

• Montreal–Cartagena–Medellín: 1 flight/week on Thursdays
• Montreal–Pointe-à-Pitre: 2 flights/week on Tuesdays and Saturdays
• Montreal–San José: 2 flights/week on Mondays and Fridays
• Toronto–Cartagena–Medellín: 1 flight/week on Wednesdays

The Montreal–Cartagena route will now operate year-round and extend to Medellín. The Toronto–Cartagena–Medellín route, launching November 2, will also operate year-round. 

Flights are now open for booking, and Air Transat plans to announce further additions to its 2026 summer schedule in the coming weeks.
