Air Canada Rebrands Premium Fare Names

In order to "create a more cohesive and intuitive fare structure,” Air Canada has updated what it calls its premium fares. The new names do not affect any of the attributes of each fare. 

• Premium Economy Lowest will now be known as Premium Economy Standard
• Premium Economy Flexible will now be known as Premium Economy Latitude
• Business Lowest will now be known as Business Standard
• Business Flexible will now be known as Business Latitude
  
  

The Fare Basis Code (FBC) will stay unchanged, keeping the existing identifiers:

• Premium Economy Standard: Identified by suffix PL
• Premium Economy Latitude: Identified by suffix PF
• Business Standard: Identified by suffix EL
• Business Latitude: Identified by suffix EF

Group Bookings

New Group requests in Business or Premium Economy will use updated Fare Family Brand Names. Existing Group PNRs will maintain the old brands until the end of their lifecycle (e.g.: ticketing/travel) and related Group PNRs can reflect a mix of old and new Brand Names, depending on when they were created.
