Air Canada has implemented a goodwill policy allowing flexible rebooking options for travellers affected by severe winter weather expected in Toronto.
The policy applies to all itineraries to, from, or via Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) for tickets issued on or before January 20, 2026. Original travel dates must fall between January 21 and January 26, 2026.
Under the policy, customers are permitted one free change up to two hours before departure. Rebooking is allowed on Air Canada–operated or Air Canada codeshare flights in the same cabin as originally ticketed. The rebooking window runs from January 27 through February 3, 2026.
Change fees are waived both within and outside the rebooking window. Additional collection of fare (ADCL) is waived if the customer is rebooked in the same cabin; otherwise, fare rules apply.
Passengers may also change their origin or destination to an alternate Air Canada destination, with the change fee waived, though any applicable additional collection of fare applies.
For call centres and travel agencies, Air Canada has advised using the endorsement code ACAYYZTEM26 when processing ticket exchanges for GDS-issued tickets. Endorsements are not required for NDC, AC Connex, or ADO-issued tickets.
Refunds will be handled according to fare rules. Aeroplan ticket holders are advised to contact Aeroplan directly for assistance.
Air Canada notes that for any itinerary involving a flight cancellation, customers and agents should follow procedures outlined in the airline’s Schedule Change or Flight Disruption Policy.
