The Air Canada Foundation donated $1.8 million to support health, food security and humanitarian aid initiatives in Canada in 2024. This amount represents a 38 percent increase over the previous year.
The organization also facilitated the air transportation of 129 patients to care centres through its Hospital Transportation Program, in addition to donating 400 plane tickets to pediatric hospitals.
Approximately 900,000 meals were distributed in partnership with the Breakfast Club of Canada, Food Banks Canada, and Second Harvest.
The Foundation supported humanitarian operations related to hurricanes Beryl, Milton and Helene, the Alberta wildfires, and the Middle East crisis. Funding was raised, in part, through the annual golf tournament, which raised a net amount of $1.4 million.
"The Air Canada Foundation remains committed to helping children and youth thrive. I extend my deepest gratitude to Air Canada’s customers, partners, employees, retirees and volunteers whose steadfast support enables the Foundation to deliver hope, support and meaningful change where it’s needed most," said Michael Rousseau, President and Chief Executive Officer at Air Canada.
The organization, created in 2012, works with hospitals, community organizations, and humanitarian partners. The Air Canada Foundation published its results in its 2024 Impact Report, released on June 16, 2025.
