ACTA is launching a new referral program, and the stakes are high. Aside from helping to grow the national travel trade association, one advisor will win a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Antarctica, valued at $45,000.
Running from January 15 to August 31, 2026, the program encourages new members to join or renew their ACTA membership, refer new members, and enroll in or renew professional certifications. Each qualifying action earns ballots toward a Grand Prize draw.
The Grand Prize, provided courtesy of Aurora Expeditions in partnership with ACTA, includes one complimentary cabin on the South Georgia, Falklands and Antarctica expedition aboard the Sylvia Earle. The prize is valued at approximately $45,000 CAD per person and includes a Balcony B cabin.
Participants can increase their chances of winning by completing multiple qualifying actions during the campaign period, with additional engagement resulting in more ballots.
How ballots are earned:
ACTA membership
- One ballot is awarded for each new ACTA membership or 2026 renewal completed during the campaign period.
- Renewals completed on or after September 1, 2025, are eligible retroactively.
Referrals
- Three ballots are awarded for each successful referral of a travel advisor or travel agency that joins ACTA.
- Referrers must ensure their name is included on the application or referral form.
CTC and CTM certification
- One ballot is awarded for enrolling in, completing, or renewing a Certified Travel Counsellor (CTC) or Certified Travel Manager (CTM) designation.
- Three ballots are awarded for each successful referral to the certification program.
According to ACTA, the referral program is intended to reward active participation while strengthening the collective voice of Canada’s travel advisor and agency community.
