TTAND Advisors Explore Portugal on 5Continents FAM

A group of travel advisors from The Travel Agent Next Door (TTAND) recently took part in a familiarization (FAM) trip to Portugal organized by 5Continents.

The trip ran from Feb. 21 to 28 and brought a selected group of advisors to several of the country’s destinations, including Porto, Coimbra, Lisbon and the Algarve.

Jennipher Santa Cruz and David Boigne guided the advisors throughout the trip, helping them discover Portugal’s culture, highlights and travel experiences.

The itinerary included visits to Porto’s historic centre and its well-known wine region, as well as a stop at the University of Coimbra. In Lisbon, the group toured several of the city’s most recognizable landmarks, including Jerónimos Monastery and Belém Tower.

 

The program concluded in the Algarve, where advisors experienced the region’s coastline and hospitality.

Throughout the FAM, participants stayed in a range of hotels and took part in hands-on experiences, including guided tours, local food tastings and an evening featuring traditional Fado music.

According to organizers, the goal of the trip was to help advisors gain deeper destination knowledge and first-hand experience that can be used when planning trips for clients.
