Transat celebrated the graduation of 100 new travel professionals from the company's first Rookie Camp, which concluded on April 11 at Paradisus Playa del Carmen.
Over the course of a week, the fledgling travel professionals took part in a variety of activities, including presentations from Transat and its partners, hotel visits, destination experiences and networking opportunities. The company says participants left the camp with new ideas and connections that will help them succeed in their new careers as experts in all things Transat.

"The past few days have reminded me why I chose to work in the travel industry. We all share a love and passion for travel. The agents have shown over the past few days that they are committed to providing the best service to our mutual customers so that they can create lasting memories with friends, family and loved ones," said Transat Sales Manager Lindsay Merrill, who helped organize and facilitate the Rookie Camp.
Participants were enthusiastic about the camp and called it an exceptional educational experience.

"Despite the rigorous schedule, Transat Rookie Camp 2024 participants came from across Canada to foster meaningful connections and collaborative learning opportunities, enriched by the diverse array of vendors present throughout the week. What made the experience truly memorable for me were the amazing people I had the pleasure of meeting and the camaraderie we shared," said Transat Travel’s Emeline.
"The Transat Rookie Camp was such an amazing learning opportunity. The knowledge and experience I gained over the past week would have taken me years to gain on my own. I feel much more confident selling all-inclusive and Transat products in the future," added Jamie from Woodstock Travel.

"The level of preparation and planning was outstanding. From the exceptional private check-in/show/welcome reception to the amazing app/website with all the up-to-the-minute information, absolutely nothing was overlooked,” said Erin from Tripcentral.ca.
“The shows and culinary experiences provided by the hotels and vendors were memorable and heartfelt. It feels like this is the 100th Rookie Camp, not the first! All Transat staff are very personable and make you feel important. When did they sleep?" added Erin.
