Ontario travel registrar TICO says it will launch a “broad and comprehensive consultation process” with registrants and stakeholders in the coming weeks about its funding framework and fee model proposals, including the Compensation Fund.
Over the past year, TICO conducted a comprehensive funding framework review, including the Compensation Fund.
As part of the review, TICO sought input from Ontario consumers, registrants, and industry stakeholders. A comparator scan was conducted to understand practices and approaches taken by comparable travel regulatory bodies in other regions, including Quebec.
Registrants will receive a package during the first week of October that outlines the proposals that came out of the review
TICO will host both virtual and in-person sessions to hear directly from you, as well as an opportunity to share your feedback via an online survey.
