The Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) is looking to fill a position on its Industry Advisory Council (IAC). The council works to provide guidance and advice to the Board of Directors and senior management in the execution of TICO’s mandate.
The IAC’s work is complementary to the work of the Consumer Advisory Council (CAC) which focuses on the customer experience, based on feedback from consumers themselves as well as from industry members. There are four positions open on the CAC which need to be filled.
Nominations are sought from those who:
- Have a positive orientation towards consumer protection.
- Are collaborative and can actively engage in discussions.
- Understand and embrace TICO’s consumer protection mandate.
- Considered by peers as independent thinkers recognized for consensus building with strong strategic, risk management, communications and teamwork skills.
- Represent the diversity of Ontario, willing to consider a broad range of perspectives.
- Have unquestionable integrity, credibility and high ethical standards.
If this sounds like you, and you are able to commit to four (ideally in-person) meetings throughout the year, TICO would like to hear from you.
