Mexico is still hot with Canadian travellers, with many people returning for repeat trips, and new visitors opting to fly further south rather than spend their vacations in the U.S. To help travel advisors make the most of the Mexican momentum, Travel Agent Academy (TAA) offers travel specialist training so you can become a Puerto Vallarta expert.
Each module of the training focuses on an in-demand area of the tourism landscape in the vibrant and historic city.
The inclusive beachside city is a great getaway for families, couples, 2SLGBTQ+ travellers, foodies, and art/culture enthusiasts. The training will help set you up with activities you can suggest for every type of traveller.

Visitors love strolling along the Malecon, exploring the charming streets and snapping pictures of the historic buildings before letting loose and enjoying the nightlife Puerto Vallarta is known for. This course ensures you will be able to help your clients make the most of everything the city has to offer.
You’ll learn how to find the right neighborhoods best suited for your clients' accommodation needs and interests, plus where your clients can best enjoy the area's natural beauty, both on the water and on land. There are hikes, bike tours and almost every water sport a tourist could want.
Of course you’ll also spend time learning where the perfect beaches are and how to direct your clients there.
Additionally, you’ll have the chance to learn all about the many options available in Puerto Vallarta for weddings and group events that are always popular.
Graduates of the program receive a certificate of graduation as a Puerto Vallarta Specialist, and members of The Travel Institute can earn Continuing Education Units for completing the course.
