Free Access to TICO Training for Agencies Announced

TICO, Ontario’s travel regulator, has announced that travel agencies that train new travel advisors can access its free training program. TICO registered agencies can apply to use the free training to help new advisors achieve their TICO certification. The new advisor must still register for the program, pay the application fee and successfully complete the modules.

Earlier this year, TICO revamped its certification education model, moving from the older manual to a new, interactive system that is inline with best practices in adult e-learning education.

By using the training program from TICO, agencies can ensure that their new advisors are learning what they need to know, and that it aligns with the regulatory curriculum.  Access is reviewed and approved for individual trainers and is for training use only. TICO will review each application to confirm eligibility.
