With just over 120 days until international soccer matchups kick off in Toronto, FlightHub has introduced its Fly to the Beautiful Game feature that connects users directly to flight search results based on the national team they want to follow or the city hosting a match.

The tool is designed to address what is expected to be a high-demand travel period surrounding the tournament.

“Major international soccer tournaments create once-in-a-generation travel moments for fans,” said Ayoub Hissar, Director of Brand Marketing & Communications at FlightHub.

“We know travellers are balancing excitement with rising demand and prices, so this feature was designed to make planning simpler and more flexible from the very beginning.”

Travel Searches on the Rise

According to FlightHub, overall searches for host destinations are up 15%. While interest has increased across all cities, Monterrey (MTY) recorded the strongest growth, with searches rising 155%, the highest increase among all destinations.

By country, Mexican host cities saw the largest surge in demand, up 49%, followed by Canada at 19% and the US at 12%.

The company says the data reflects growing interest in international sporting events and offers insight into which North American host destinations are drawing the most attention as the tournament approaches.

How It Works

Fans begin by selecting a national team or host city through the Fly to the Beautiful Game feature. Once selected, the platform surfaces flight options using FlightHub’s global flight inventory and real-time pricing.

Travellers can plan departures from Calgary, Edmonton, Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver and Winnipeg, with flights to host cities across North America, including:

  • Canada: Toronto and Vancouver
  • United States: Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Miami, East Rutherford, Philadelphia, Seattle and Santa Clara
  • Mexico: Guadalajara, Mexico City and Monterrey
