Envoyage has concluded its third annual Icons event, bringing together its top 50 members for a four-day experience in South Africa.
The event opened with a rooftop reception in Johannesburg, where global managing director Danielle Galloway welcomed delegates. She told attendees they were standing “in the presence of greatness,” adding: “Being the best doesn’t happen by chance. It takes vision, relentless commitment, courage to think differently, and a refusal to settle for ‘good enough.’"
Delegates then moved from the city to the wilderness, taking part in experiences ranging from wildlife safaris to cultural workshops.
Advisor Roxy Rae, attending her first Icons, described the event as “nothing short of incredible.
"To be spoiled in such a special way, from seeing the Big 5 animals up close, to learning how to drum and bead, to sitting down with our sponsors to talk business, it was unforgettable. Being recognized alongside such amazing peers in our industry was humbling and motivating, and the energy and connections I took away have given me a whole new perspective and drive. It reminded me exactly why I love what I do and how much potential there is to grow together in this industry.”
Event partners this year included Europ Assistance, Intrepid Travel, Globus Family of Brands, Room-Res, Expedia TAAP, Norwegian Cruise Line, and Cover-More Travel Insurance.
Looking ahead, Envoyage announced that Vietnam will host the 2026 Icons event from November 2–6, with Intrepid Travel as the key sponsor.
Galloway, who is also global managing director of Luxury and Independent Brands at Flight Centre Travel Group, reflected on the South Africa gathering: “Icons 2025 was a resounding success. Once again, this special event allowed our members to build meaningful connections while experiencing the incredible offerings of South Africa. We are excited to take this momentum into next year’s event and look forward to an unforgettable Icons experience in Vietnam.”
Yvette Thompson, GM Sales and Marketing at Intrepid Travel, said the company was eager to partner on the next edition.
“We are so proud and excited to be hosting Icons 2026 in Vietnam. It’s one of Intrepid’s most popular destinations with our travellers. We have seen strong performance from Envoyage members, and Intrepid is committed to enhancing our partnership while creating impactful experiences together around the world.”
Envoyage described Icons as a recognition of its top performers worldwide, with Galloway noting that the event celebrates “not just the results but the resilience, not just wins but the wisdom, and not just business but the bonds that transform colleagues into friends.”
