Ten Canadian travel advisors recently returned from a FAM trip to Kenya hosted by 5Continents, where they were immersed in the country’s wildlife, culture, and community from April 29 to May 6, 2025.
Led by Sabrina Greca, Director of Business Development and Marketing at 5Continents, the trip was delivered in partnership with Nairobi-based Twiga Tours.
The week-long trip included daily safaris, wildlife encounters, cultural experiences, and behind-the-scenes insights that gave agents a broader perspective on Kenya as a travel destination.
“This wasn’t just a trip — it was a sensory journey,” said Greca. “From the sounds of the savannah to the warmth of the Kenyan people, every detail was infused with meaning and magic. Our long-time partners and friends at Twiga Tours delivered an experience that was both seamless and deeply moving.”
Highlights of the itinerary included:
- Feeding giraffes at Nairobi’s iconic Giraffe Centre
- A visit to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where several agents adopted orphaned elephants
- A sunrise hot-air balloon safari over the Masai Mara
- Visits to Maasai villages offering insights into local traditions
- Wildlife sightings including lions, rhinos, elephants, zebras, and cheetahs
- A hosted dinner at the private home of Twiga Tours’ owners
For participants, the experience left a lasting impression—both personally and professionally.
“My first experience in Africa did not disappoint in any way,” said Camille Wilson of The Travel Agent Next Door. “From witnessing majestic wildlife to meeting the talented women making jewelry from clay, I feel beyond spoiled that it was Kenya. I can’t wait to return with my family and share this amazing destination with my clients.”

Linda Dennis, also with The Travel Agent Next Door, said the trip changed her perspective: “Honestly, a Kenya safari was never something I thought I’d do—until this opportunity popped up in my inbox. Every moment was truly inspiring and magical.”
