ACTA has released details about some of the speakers and professional development topics at its September summits in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver.
At the Toronto summit, keynote speaker Bruce Poon Tip, CEO, G Adventures and executive producer of the 2022 documentary film The Last Tourist, will explore travel as a force of change.
Passionate about the power of travel to change the world for the better, Poon Tip will examine issues facing travel and tourism and encourage the audience to appeal to a new kind of traveller and be inspired to sell new niches to existing clients looking to travel better.
The Toronto, Montreal & Vancouver Summits will feature a panel discussion titled "Rebuilding the Canadian Travel Industry - Together!" Leaders from some of Canada's best known travel companies will discuss the challenges and potential solutions facing travel agents and tour operators, and how the industry can work together to build strength. Attendees are invited to bring questions and ideas for an interactive audience discussion.
In Toronto and Vancouver, Louise Gardiner, CTM, ACTA Board treasurer and VP of the Agency Solution by The Travel Agent Next Door will lead a panel of professional travel agents focused on exploring how they survived the pandemic, revamped their business and are now thriving. Travel agent colleagues from across Canada will share how they survived the worst of the pandemic and revamped their business to thrive in our new normal.
Also in Toronto and Vancouver, Ryan McElroy, CEO of Travel Agency Tribes will present an interactive session discussing modern technology tools that drive sales, efficiency, and customer engagement. By taking advantage of new and easy-to-use technology tools, attendees can reimagine and redesign how they connect, consult and deliver travel services.
All three summits will feature a panel discussion titled "Power of Specialization: Work less, Earn more." Panelists will share the secrets of focusing attention on high yield clients and travel products.
Travel Agents are invited to join ACTA for the day on September 14th in Toronto, September 20 in Richmond, and September 28 in Laval. The summits are complimentary for ACTA members. Non-member travel agents are asked to consider making a contribution to ACTA's Advocacy Fund.
