VoX International Signs on to Represent Stunning St. Vincent and the Grenadines

St. Vincent and The Grenadines Tourism Authority (SVGTA) has selected VoX International as their public relations and communications representative in Canada. VoX, a leader in travel and tourism marketing, will be managing media relations and day-to-day operations for the Canadian market.

Air Canada Vacations offers a number of holidays to St. Vincent, taking guests to a series of lovely resorts and hotels.

The destination is poised to welcome more Canadians in 2018 with direct air service, the opening of its new International airport, exciting festivals as well as life-changing experiences that can't be found anywhere else.

In addition, VoX will be hosting a number of media familiarization trips to the islands, offering journalists an exciting first-hand experience of the destination.

With the recent opening of the Caribbean's most anticipated airport and direct flights from Toronto on Air Canada, the Argyle International Airport on St. Vincent will be welcoming Canadian travellers to explore the many adventures of St. Vincent and The Grenadines' 32 idyllic islands and cays. Among unspoiled natural attractions and luxurious hideaways, the destination is ready to impress and embrace visitors; from hiking along the mountainous Vermont Nature Trail, kite surfing on Union Island, to diving in a bat cave and swimming in a crater of the La Soufriere volcano, the adventures cater to any traveller's tastes.

South of the largest island St. Vincent, The Grenadines (including the island of Mayreau, pictured here) are strung across more than 60 kilometers of typically tranquil waters, making these pristine seas prized for sailing, diving and snorkeling. Yachting and sailing enthusiasts come to St. Vincent from around the world to explore and enjoy the secluded bays and lagoons with turquoise seas and powder white sand beaches and therapeutic black sand beaches. Showcasing some of the best marina facilities in the world, the US $250 million Glossy Bay Marina recently opened on Canouan, which has set the bar for future marine development in the region.

The destination's diving and snorkeling is ranked among the best in the world. A must for under water enthusiasts is Tobago Cays, five sibling islands (Petit Rameau, Baradel, Petit Bateau, Jamesby and Petit Tabac) surrounded and shielded by an enormous horseshoe reef, fostering some of the most vibrant, colourful and diverse ecosystems of undersea life you can find anywhere in the Caribbean.

Blessed with fertile volcanic soil, the islands offer visitors an array of locally grown fruits, vegetables and spices which enhance the exquisite local cuisine. Specialties include seafood callaloo soup, roasted breadfruit and fried jack fish.

Festivals and events are year-round. During Easter, visitors and locals join in the excitement of the highly competitive yacht racing action of the Bequia Easter Regatta - taking place for the last 35 years this is now an internationally acclaimed sailing event. Then, for ten days from the last Friday in June, the country celebrates the "Hottest carnival in Caribbean with Vincy Mas.

The Bequia Beach Hotel is one of the finest in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. There's a nice beach in a quiet section of the island and also a very good restaurant. Units range from bungalows with private pools to beautiful suites. There's also an elegant lobby and reception area.

St.Vincent Parrot

The St. Vincent parrot is an endangered species that you can check out at the lovely St. Vincent Botanical Gardens. The gardens date back to 1765 and include a breadfruit tree that's the descendant of one brought to the island by Captain Bligh of Mutiny on the Bounty fame.

Young Island Resort

Young Island Resort is a lovely spot on a small island off the west coast of St. Vincent. There's a casual vibe and excellent food. It's also super-quiet and offers everything from a wonderful spa to tennis courts and sailing trips on a beautiful boat.

Port Elizabeth, Bequia

The main town on Bequia is Port Elizabeth, a quiet, old-school place with neighborhood cafes and casual restaurants. It's a charming part of the islands, where locals gather under shady trees near the port and discuss politics.

Palm Island, Grenadines

Palm island is one of the top resorts in the Caribbean, a posh spot set amid blue Caribbean waters in the Grenadines.

St. Vincent sunset

Beachcombers Hotel has a nice beach directly in front of the property, which offers lovely sunsets. There's a small pool and a nice restaurant on site. Rooms are simple but fine, and the units are painted in glorious rainbow colours.

East Coast St. Vincent

A drive up the east coast of St.Vincent reveals stunning, dark sand beaches with almost no one insight. The island also is famous for its waterfalls and nature trails. The original Pirates ofthe Caribbean was partly filmed on the equally lush west coast of the island.

Princess Margaret Beach, Bequia

Princess Margaret Beach is a short walk from the small Bequia town of Port Elizabeth. There's a lovely waterfront path that takes you past seaside restaurants and bars. If you skirt the edge of the cliffs near the end of the trail you'll find a path to Princess Margaret Beach and Jack's Beach Bar, a lovely spot for a bite to eat and a cold Hairoun beer, produced here on the island.
