About World Travel & Tourism Council

The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC) is the forum for business leaders in the travel and tourism industry to promote sustainable growth for the industry. The WTTC consists of chief executives of some 100 of the world's leading travel and tourism companies, who bring specialized knowledge to guide government policy and decision-making.

WTTC works to raise awareness of travel and tourism as one of the world's largest industries and as an economic generator of prosperity, supporting 255 million jobs and generating 9 percent of global GDP.

WTTC advocates partnership between the public and private sectors, delivering results that match the needs of economies, local and regional authorities and local communities with those of business based on: governments recognizing travel and tourism as a top priority; business balancing economics with people, culture and environment; and a shared pursuit of long-term growth and prosperity.
